MARDEN SUMMER PLAY SCHEME 2026

Dates:

Monday 20^th and Tuesday 21^st July – Play Scheme will run but with reduced numbers due to availability of staff.

Wednesday 22^nd July to Friday 31^st July – Numbers increase to 56 children per day

Location/Time:

This year’s play scheme will again be at Marden Scout HQ and will run from 9.30am to 12.30pm or 9.30am to 3.30pm.

Registration:

Marden Summer Play Scheme is open for children who have reached their 5^th birthday by 1^st September 2025 and up to 12 years of age (Year 7).

Registration is open from 10.00am Monday 1^st June and forms will be available from this date/time  from this page or from the Parish Office / via email deputyclerk@mardenkent-pc.gov.uk.

Due to the popularity of the scheme, we are having to prioritise children being registered as follows:

From when registration opens: This will be on a first come first served basis for the following:

• Children living in Marden
• Children attending Marden Primary Academy

From the first week of July, the following will be accepted if spaces are available, again on a first come first served basis:

• Children living in parishes bordering Marden
• Children attending schools in parishes bordering Marden

The week before the scheme commences:

• Any other registration received from outside of the above, but within Maidstone borough.

If days become full, a reserve list will be held following the above criteria and families will be informed of spaces as and when they become available on a first come first served basis.

Due to allocated numbers an initial registration form should be completed and returned to ensure places are available.  You will then be contacted with confirmation, or not, of places/fees to be paid.

On Friday 31^st July there will be an inflatable assault course all day and an end of scheme party in the afternoon.  Children can therefore, on this day only, be able to attend from 12.30pm to 3.30pm if they wish (half day session fee will apply).

Fees

(subsidised by Marden Parish Council)

Morning session: 9.30am to 12.30pm

One child – £7.00

Two children from same family – £13.00

Three children from same family – £20.00

All day session: 9.30am to 3.30pm

One child – £14.00

Two children from same family – £26.00

Three children from same family – £40.00

 Please do not pay until confirmation has been received from the Parish Council that spaces are available.

All the above fees include a Fruit/Vegetable Cup (choice of fruit and veg) and squash/water. Water will be available to all children throughout the morning and if possible please send in a named drinks bottle to be used by your child during the course of the scheme (this will be returned on your child’s last day).

Lunch must be brought in when you child stays all day.
