Marden Playing Field

Marden Playing Field consists of the main play area, large area of open space with junior goalposts, adult gym equipment, youth shelter and pavilion.  Napoleon Drive play area and the Chestnuts (area of trees by Sutton Court) also form part of the playing field.

Marden Parish Council are currently looking to refurbish the changing rooms as these are no longer used.  It is hoped that work can commence early next year to reconfigure the internal layout to provide a small meeting room, toilet and kitchen area.  This facility can then be used for children’s parties, meetings and possible fitness classes.    Planning permission has been agreed (25/501261/FULL) and were are currently reviewing tenders for the work – due to the costs the work will be phased (Phase 1 – internal works / Phase 2 – small storage extension to side).
